It has taken 4 years of intensive work to build a simple version of the history of the Barbet..or Griffon Barbet. The breed that does date back to the Middle Ages. It has a  factual bibliogaphy and as you will see, Buffon içs not part of the picture since his “barbet” is a Spanish Water Dog. Years and years of myths and mistaken identity are clearing up.
